Branding as an OD Intervention
Over the years, we’ve treated branding as something that lives outside the organisation—as a signal to customers, clients, and the market about who we are and what we offer. But lately, I’ve been wondering: what if branding isn’t just about how we show up in the world, but also about how we show up to ourselves?
What if branding—done with intention—could become a way to align people strategies across the employee lifecycle, from induction to retirement? Not just a tool for attraction, but a means of coherence. A way to weave values into the everyday fabric of how people experience the organisation. In that sense, could branding become an OD intervention in its own right?
Many organisations are waking up to this possibility. They’re seeing that influencing the external brand begins with integrity in the internal environment. And as the challenges of attracting and retaining the right talent become more nuanced, the conversation around Employer Branding—long treated as a subtext to the more glamorous corporate branding—deserves more attention.
And yes, the question always comes: does this kind of alignment actually move the needle on business outcomes? Increasingly, we’re seeing that it does. But the real story lies in how.
To help us explore this terrain, Anahat is hosting a conversation with Kiran Khalap, MD at chlorophyll, one of India’s foremost voices in branding. Kiran brings years of lived experience and inquiry into what branding can truly mean—for businesses, for people, and for the spaces in between.

I’m looking forward to this exchange. It feels timely—and necessary.
